Understanding the Science of Double Glazing

• Two Panes of Glass: The unit is constructed from two panes of glass separated by a spacer bar.
• The Air Gap: This gap is hermetically sealed and filled with an inert gas, typically Argon. Because Argon is much denser than air, it is a very poor conductor of heat.
