Sliding & Bi-Fold Doors Installation

The homeowners in Chalfont St Giles were undertaking a full ground-floor renovation and wanted to upgrade their existing patio doors to create a more open, light-filled living space. Their goal was to enhance garden access and maximise natural light with a combination of sliding and bi-fold door systems that would blend modern functionality with high-end design.

Our Solution

We supplied and installed a combination of Schüco aluminium sliding doors and bi-folding doors, designed to complement each other and provide flexibility in how the space could be opened up. The installation included:

• Slimline aluminium frames for uninterrupted views
• Thermally broken profiles for superior insulation
• Double-glazed safety glass for energy efficiency and noise reduction
• Smooth-glide opening systems with high-performance rollers
• Anthracite grey finish (RAL 7016) for a contemporary, elegant look

The sliding doors were fitted to the main living room, creating a seamless connection to the garden terrace, while the bi-fold doors were installed in the kitchen-dining area for a wide, fully openable entrance during warmer months.

Installation Process

The installation was carried out over three days. Our team worked closely with the client’s builders to ensure precise alignment and a perfect structural fit. Each door system was installed with full weather sealing and tested for smooth, effortless operation. All finishing details were completed to a high standard, ensuring a flawless, integrated look between both systems.
