Schüco Sliding Doors & Windows

This project in Radlett involved upgrading a luxury detached home with high-performance Schüco sliding doors and aluminium windows. The homeowners wanted to modernise the rear elevation, increase natural light throughout the home, and improve energy efficiency — all while maintaining a minimalist, high-end aesthetic.

Our Solution

We installed Schüco ASS 70.HI sliding doors across the kitchen-diner and living room areas to create a seamless connection between the interior and garden. These doors are known for their ultra-slim profiles, effortless sliding mechanism, and excellent insulation values. To complete the upgrade, we supplied and installed Schüco aluminium windows throughout the rest of the property. The windows featured thermally broken frames, double glazing, and integrated trickle vents — all in a matching anthracite grey finish (RAL 7016) to ensure a consistent look across the entire property.

Installation Process

The work was completed over five days. The team first removed the existing uPVC doors and windows, then prepared all openings for the new systems. Structural support for the large-format sliding doors was reinforced where needed. All Schüco units were carefully installed, aligned, and sealed to ensure long-term performance. The final stage included detailed internal finishing, full system testing, and a thorough clean-up, leaving the property ready to enjoy immediately.
