A residential property in Shepherd’s Bush, London required a full set of replacement windows. The existing timber frames were rotten, draughty, and poorly insulated, leading to high energy bills and external noise penetration from the busy surrounding streets. The homeowners wanted a cost-effective, low-maintenance solution that would improve thermal performance and modernise the property’s kerb appeal.

Our Solution

We supplied and installed white uPVC double-glazed windows throughout the property. The solution included:

• Energy efficiency: A-rated double glazing with argon gas filling to reduce heat loss
• Noise reduction: Acoustic-rated glass for the front-facing rooms to minimise traffic noise
• Security: Internally beaded glazing and multi-point locking systems
• Low maintenance: White uPVC profiles that will not rot, warp, or require painting
• Aesthetic: Matching Georgian bar inserts on upper sashes to retain period character

Installation Process

• Conducted pre-installation survey and took precise measurements for each opening
• Removed old timber windows carefully to preserve surrounding brickwork
• Disposed of all waste materials responsibly
• Installed new window frames using galvanised fixings and expanding foam
• Fitted double-glazed sealed units into each frame
• Applied internal and external silicone seals for weatherproofing
• Adjusted all hinges, handles, and locking mechanisms for smooth operation
