Schüco Windows Installation

We supplied and installed the Schüco AWS 70 window system throughout the property. This high-performance aluminium window system is engineered to meet the demands of modern residential projects, combining elegant contemporary styling with exceptional energy efficiency. The Schüco AWS 70 offers a 70mm basic depth and achieves a Window Energy Rating of A with low U‑Values around 1.5 W/m²K or better.

The solution included:

• Schüco AWS 70 slim-profile aluminium frames in matt black (RAL 9005) on both interior and exterior faces for a bold, cohesive aesthetic
• A mix of casement and tilt-and-turn configurations tailored to each room
• Thermally broken profiles to eliminate cold bridging, condensation, and exceed building regulations
• Double-glazed units with low-E coating and argon gas fill for superior thermal efficiency
• Acoustic-enhanced glazing for bedrooms facing the road to reduce external noise
• Schüco multi-point locking mechanisms with SecuTech handle technology for enhanced security
• Concealed friction hinges for clean, unbroken exterior lines
• Matching black handles and hardware for a unified finish throughout
• Full compatibility with the property’s existing architectural detailing

Installation Process

• Carried out a detailed pre-installation survey with laser measurements of every window opening
• Removed existing timber windows carefully to preserve surrounding brickwork, internal plaster, and any period features
• Disposed of all waste materials responsibly
• Inspected and prepared lintels, reveals, and sills for the new Schüco system
• Installed steel reinforcement where required for larger window spans
• Lifted Schüco AWS 70 frames into position using precision packers
• Mechanically fixed frames to the structure ensuring zero movement, with fixings positioned 100-150mm from each corner
• Fitted double-glazed sealed units into each frame
• Installed all tilt-and-turn mechanisms, casement hinges, and multi-point locking systems
• Applied internal and external silicone seals for full weatherproofing
• Adjusted all handles, hinges, and locking mechanisms for smooth, effortless operation
• Completed thorough clean of all glass, frames, and surrounding areas
• Conducted a final walkthrough with the homeowners to confirm satisfaction
