Aluminium Windows Installation

A detached family home in South Woodford required a complete window upgrade, with particular attention to the prominent front bay window. The existing uPVC windows had yellowed, warped, and allowed noticeable heat loss and external noise penetration. The homeowners wanted a premium solution that would offer superior thermal performance, a clean, classic aesthetic, and long-term durability. The goal was to install white aluminium windows, including a bespoke bay window, to enhance kerb appeal, improve energy efficiency, and increase property value.

Our Solution

We supplied and installed bespoke white aluminium windows across the front and rear elevations, including a custom bay window configuration. The solution included:

Bay Window (Front Elevation):

• White aluminium rectangular bay window with a large central fixed pane and side-hung casement openings on both sides
• Bespoke aluminium cill and roof canopy to match the property’s exterior
• Slim-profile frames for maximum glass area and clean sightlines

Remaining Windows:

• White aluminium casement windows with concealed friction hinges
• Tilt-and-turn operation on first-floor windows for safe ventilation

All Windows Included:

• White powder-coated finish (RAL 9010) for a clean, timeless look
• Thermally broken profiles to eliminate cold bridging and condensation
• Double-glazed units with low-E coating and argon gas fill
• Multi-point locking mechanisms with high-security handles
• Matching white sills, trims, and hardware for a seamless finish

Installation Process

• Carried out full site survey with laser measurements of all openings, including the bay
• Removed existing uPVC windows carefully to preserve brickwork and internal plaster
• Disposed of all old frames and glass responsibly
• Checked and prepared lintels, reveals, and sills
• Installed steel reinforcement brackets to support the new bay window assembly
• Lifted white aluminium bay window frame into position using precision packers
• Lifted remaining window frames into position using precision packers
• Mechanically fixed all frames to the structure ensuring zero movement
• Fitted double-glazed sealed units into all windows, including the bay
• Fitted bay window cill and roof canopy with weatherproof seals
• Adjusted all hinges, tilt-and-turn mechanisms, and handles for smooth operation
• Spray-foamed all perimeter gaps and applied internal/external silicone seals
• Tested all locks and security features
• Completed thorough clean of all glass, frames, and surrounding areas
