A commercial premises in Hammersmith required a new front entrance to replace an outdated, insecure door that failed to make a positive impression on clients and visitors. The business owners wanted a modern, professional solution that would maximise natural light, enhance kerb appeal, and provide robust security. The goal was to install a commercial-grade aluminium double front door in light grey with full glazing to create a welcoming, contemporary entrance that reflects the professionalism of the business.
Our Solution
We supplied and installed a bespoke commercial aluminium double front door system tailored to the property’s front elevation. Aluminium doors are well-suited for commercial applications due to their durability, low maintenance, and sleek aesthetic . The solution included:
- Pair of commercial-grade aluminium double doors (active and passive leaves) in light grey (RAL 7035)
- Full glazing with double-glazed units to maximise natural light and showcase the interior
- Thermally broken profiles to prevent heat loss and meet commercial building regulations
- Commercial-grade multi-point locking system with anti-snap cylinders
- Heavy-duty stainless steel hinges with adjustable tension (designed for high-traffic use)
- Low-threshold cill for step-free access (DDA compliant)
- Matching light grey handles and hardware for a unified finish
- Concealed drop-down weather seals for superior draught protection
- PAS 24 security rating (Secured by Design accredited)
Installation Process
- Conducted precise laser measurement of the existing door opening
- Removed old commercial front door and frame carefully
- Disposed of all waste materials responsibly
- Widened the opening where required to accommodate double doors
- Installed steel support lintel above the new opening
- Lifted commercial aluminium double door frame into position using precision packers
- Mechanically fixed the frame to the structure ensuring zero movement
- Hung both door leaves on heavy-duty stainless steel hinges
- Fitted fully glazed double-glazed sealed units into both doors
- Installed commercial-grade multi-point locking mechanism on the active leaf
- Fitted flush bolts to the passive leaf (top and bottom)
- Applied internal and external silicone seals for airtight, watertight finish
- Adjusted hinges for perfect alignment and smooth closing action
- Completed thorough clean of all glass, frames, handles, and surrounding area
