Installing uPVC Windows

This detached property in Milton Keynes needed a complete window upgrade. The original double-glazed units had deteriorated, resulting in persistent misting between the panes, while the distorted frames were letting in noticeable drafts throughout the house. The aim was to install durable, energy-efficient uPVC windows that would boost thermal comfort, strengthen security, and enhance the home’s kerb appeal.

Our Solution

We supplied and installed high-performance white uPVC double-glazed windows throughout the property. The solution included:

• A-rated thermal glazing, featuring an argon gas fill and low-E coating for outstanding insulation
• Side-hung casement designs, equipped with integrated friction hinges
• High-security multi-point locking, complete with snap-resistant cylinders and reinforced handles
• Integrated trickle vents to minimise moisture build-up and support healthy internal ventilation
• Sturdy reinforced frames for increased structural resilience
• Colour-matched white sills, trims, and ironmongery to ensure a cohesive, polished look
• Decorative Georgian bar detailing on the front-facing units to introduce a touch of period character

Installation Process

We began with a detailed pre-installation survey, using laser precision to measure every opening. The old windows were removed with great care to protect the surrounding brickwork and internal plaster, and all waste was cleared away in an environmentally responsible manner. We then checked and prepared the lintels, reveals, and sills before securing the new uPVC frames with galvanised fixings and expanding foam insulation. Once the frames were in place, we installed the sealed double-glazed panels, followed by internal and external silicone sealant application to deliver full weather-tightness. Every hinge, handle, and locking point was carefully adjusted to ensure smooth, effortless operation. After a thorough clean of all glass, frames, sills, and the immediate work area, we completed the project with a final walkthrough to make certain the client was completely delighted with the finish.
