Red Composite Door

A Victorian terraced house in Mill Hill needed a front door that would make a statement. The existing door was a faded, generic uPVC model that lacked character and had a broken lock. The goal was to install a bold, secure, and energy-efficient composite front door in red to enhance kerb appeal and provide lasting performance.

Our Solution

We supplied and installed a premium red composite front door tailored to the property’s period charm. The solution included:

• High-density polyurethane foam core for superior insulation and strength
• Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) outer skin resistant to fading, warping, and cracking
• Traditional panel design with decorative obscured double glazing
• External finish in pillar box red (RAL 3000) for a striking, welcoming look
• Five-point multi-locking system with anti-snap cylinders
• Stainless steel hinges and a concealed letterbox with brush draught seal
• Matching black hardware for contrast and visual appeal
• White internal finish to complement the hallway decor

Installation Process

• Conducted precise measurement of the existing door opening
• Removed old uPVC front door and frame carefully
• Disposed of all waste materials responsibly
• Inspected and prepared the structural opening, lintel, and sub-cill
• Installed new composite door frame using galvanised fixings and expanding foam
• Lifted the composite door slab into position and hung on stainless steel hinges
• Fitted the double-glazed decorative panel into the door
• Installed multi-point locking mechanism and tested all locks and keys
• Applied internal and external silicone seals for full weatherproofing
• Adjusted hinges for perfect alignment and smooth closing action
• Completed thorough clean of door, frame, glass, handles, and surrounding area
