Project Overview
This project focused on upgrading a rear extension with high-performance Schüco bi-folding doors. The homeowner wanted to create a brighter, more open-plan living area that seamlessly extended into the garden, with wide, unobstructed views and modern aesthetics.
Our Solution
We supplied and installed AS FD 75/90 bi-folding doors – a premium aluminium system offering excellent energy efficiency, weather resistance, and effortless operation. The configuration included a traffic door for daily access, and multiple folding panels that neatly stack to one side, creating a wide, open aperture when fully opened. The slim sightlines and anthracite grey finish complemented the contemporary style of the extension.
Installation Process
The old doors and framework were removed, and the opening was structurally assessed to ensure safe and secure installation. The new Schüco bi-folding system was installed with precision, ensuring perfect alignment and smooth sliding action. The team sealed all frames, tested functionality, and finished the internal and external reveals for a clean, modern appearance.
