A ground-floor flat in Hammersmith had an old timber patio door that was draughty, difficult to operate, and poorly insulated. The existing door also had a failed locking mechanism, raising security concerns for the residents. The goal was to install a modern, secure, and energy-efficient uPVC patio door that would provide easy garden access and improve the flat’s thermal performance.

Our Solution

Installation Process

• Conducted precise laser measurement of the existing door opening
• Removed old wooden patio door carefully
• Disposed of all waste materials responsibly
• Inspected and prepared the structural opening, lintel, and sub-cill
• Installed new uPVC patio door frame using galvanised fixings and expanding foam
• Fitted the patio door panels onto the roller mechanism
• Tested smooth operation and adjusted rollers as needed
• Installed double-glazed sealed units into both fixed and panels
• Applied internal and external silicone seals for full weatherproofing
• Tested multi-point locking mechanism and all security features
