uPVC Windows Installation

A detached family home in Radlett required a complete window upgrade. The existing timber frames were rotting, single-glazed, and allowed significant heat loss and external noise penetration. The homeowners wanted a low-maintenance, energy-efficient solution that would enhance kerb appeal and improve comfort throughout the property. The goal was to install uPVC windows that would deliver modern thermal performance, security, and a clean, timeless aesthetic.

Our Solution

We supplied and installed high-performance white uPVC double-glazed windows throughout the detached house. The solution included:

• A-rated double glazing with argon gas fill and low-E coating for superior insulation
• Side-hung casement openings with concealed friction hinges
• Multi-point locking systems with anti-snap cylinders and security handles
• Trickle vents to reduce condensation and improve indoor air quality
• Reinforced frames for added strength and durability
• Georgian bar inserts on front-facing windows to add traditional character
• Matching white sills, trims, and hardware for a seamless finish
• Optional acoustic glass for bedrooms facing the road

Installation Process

• Carried out pre-installation survey with laser measurements for each opening
• Removed old timber windows carefully to preserve brickwork and internal plaster
• Disposed of all waste materials responsibly
• Inspected and prepared lintels, reveals, and sills
• Installed new uPVC frames using galvanised fixings and expanding foam
• Fitted double-glazed sealed units into each frame
• Applied internal and external silicone seals for full weatherproofing
• Adjusted all hinges, handles, and locking mechanisms for smooth operation
• Cleaned all glass, frames, sills, and surrounding areas thoroughly
• Conducted final walkthrough to confirm satisfaction
